Ottawa, Canada - January 16, 2004 - Eftia, a global provider of operations management software solutions designed to meet the business automation needs of communications service providers and large enterprises, today announced the launch of “Eftia University”. The program, designed to provide training and certification in Operational Support Systems (OSS) through courses given by Eftia subject matter experts, will be rolled out initially in the India market with an aim to creating a solid awareness of the fundamental processes that underpin OSS while offering in-depth skills training in Eftia’s products - Master.Scribe and Ai² Application Development Framework.
Hands-on instruction is available to customers, systems integrators, alliance partners and industry professionals alike, catering to a wide spectrum of interests. For example, OSS Graduate is a 1-day course that highlights both the technical and business aspects of OSS in the global arena as well as dealing with the elements and functionalities that make up a modern support system. The OSS Executive is a 4-day development program focusing on the economics and real time operational benefits of an OSS implementation, targeted at senior business managers. The first course at “Eftia University” will be conducted at the end of January 2004 in partnership with the Symbiosys Institute of Telecom Management in Pune, India.
