Eftia Announces Significant Enhancements
to Master.Scribe Suite
Focus on global markets and platform upgrade
significantly increases
product capabilities
(June 3, 2002 Ottawa Canada) Eftia, a leading provider of
operational support systems (OSS) solutions for wireless and wireline
service providers, today announced significant enhancements to its
Master.Scribe Suite that will further its goal to expand its customer
base internationally.
Eftia's research and development efforts have recently been focused
on integrating Master.Scribe with the latest software platforms
and frameworks, including Oracle 9i. "To satisfy customer demand,
we are committed to keeping pace with technological advancements
in our chosen software platforms," said Christopher Dean, Chief
Technology Officer at Eftia. "As a result of our recent efforts,
we are now offering our customers enhanced products that promise
increased efficiency and greater usability." Among the most
noteworthy impacts of the upgrade are multi-language capability
and improved user interfaces (GUI), particularly in the web-enabled
order entry and trouble ticket functions.
"Our goal with our Master.Scribe Suite is to not only provide
our customers with top-notch products and services for their immediate
needs," said Eftia CEO Stephen Parker, "but to partner
with those customers as they develop their OSS systems, bringing
enhancements to the table that will allow them to further grow their
own business with the most efficient cost structure."
For KMC Telecom, a next-generation integrated communications provider
and Eftia client, this was the case. When they had a need for a
quality customer-facing system to provide service order activation
and billing, Eftia's Master.Scribe Suite fit perfectly. "KMC
now manages twice as many orders with one third of the provisioning
support personnel," said Tim Pasonski, Vice President of Corporate
Systems at KMC.
Working in conjunction with its partners, Eftia is expanding Master.Scribe's
capabilities to include simultaneous multi-language support. This
featuretogether with the ability to handle international telephone
number formats, international address formats, and international
facility typesputs Master.Scribe at the forefront of the global
OSS marketplace. "This is another example of our commitment
to innovation based on customer needs," said Joe McKinnon,
Executive Vice President and General Manager of Eftia Products.
"By dissolving the language barrier between our products and
many international markets, we are now able to satisfy those customers
who have expressed interest in our solutions but have been restricted
by local language requirements. We are confident that this move
will see the significant expansion of our customer base."
In addition to simultaneous multi-language support, the simplified
and configurable web-friendly user interfaces in the customer service
applications will maximize operational efficiencies, enabling dramatic
improvements in service provider productivity. Now internally web-enabled,
Eftia products empower their users to offer unparalleled service
management and customer care.
