ARINC CHOOSES EFTIA'S Maintenance Module
Major service provider continues to look to Eftia for its OSS Needs

Ottawa, Canada-April 1st, 2003 - EftiaTM, a leading provider of operational support systems (OSS) for wireless and wireline service providers, today announced that Annapolis-based ARINC Incorporated has purchased the Trouble Management Module of the Master.Scribe Suite. A world leader in transportation communications and systems engineering, ARINC selected the Trouble Ticketing module, after purchasing the Service Order and Inventory modules of Master.Scribe in August of 2002, to optimize the management and administration of their Operations Center.

Incorporated in 1929, ARINC has grown to a $608 million ISO 9001-certified company with customers in 140 countries around the globe. It is recognized as a leading provider of transportation communication and systems engineering for five major industries: aviation, airports, defense, government and transportation. The implementation of Inventory and Service Order has demonstrated that the Master.Scribe solution is a good fit for ARINC. This recent purchase now gives ARINC three of the modules of Eftia's Master.Scribe Suite; Service Order Management, Inventory Management, and Maintenance (Trouble Ticketing). The three modules tie together in a tightly integrated environment that will allow them to utilize Eftia's Advanced Circuit Features (ACF) such as service impact and circuit trace.

The Service Order and Inventory Modules of Master.Scribe were purchased to assist ARINC in managing all internal customer and network business processes (workflow) for their telecommunications infrastructure. This will now be complemented by the addition of the Maintenance module for the processing of internal trouble tickets on their telecommunications infrastructure, allowing them to quickly determine what equipment is impacted and which customers the problem will effect. Finally, the Maintenance Module will enable them to closely manage their internal Service Level Agreements, which is something they could not do with their existing platform. The ability to measure the responsiveness of the services they provide, to their internal customers, greatly enhances ARINC capacity to dominate their market.

"Eftia is proud of our accomplishments thus far with ARINC and look forward to continued active partnership with them," says Stephen Parker, President and Chief Executive Officer at Eftia. "Our highly configurable solutions have allowed ARINC to reduce customizations and eliminate costly overhead by allowing them to remove redundant systems from their back office."

"Eftia has demonstrated that it is a customer focused company. Their products are extremely powerful and ARINC is looking forward to a long and productive relationship," says Jerry Owens, Director of Infrastructure Support Systems at ARINC.

Deployment of Eftia's Maintenance software will begin within the next few months, further enhancing the partnership between the two companies, creating an on-going business relationship that will help carry both organizations forward into the future of telecom.
