Architecture

Eftia products are built on open, layered and scalable architecture. The gateway foundation architecture supports distributed loads across multiple parallel servers as well as servers dedicated to specific transactions.

The modular design ensures that the gateway responds efficiently to changes in trading partner interfaces and to changes in OSS. The foundation of Interconnection architecture is Eftia's core gateway platform, which supports the TMF CIGP functions. It provides the underlying functionality for:

• Reporting
  
• Logging
  
• Reliability independent of interconnection type

The central functional layer provides all message syntax formats and protocols required by each interface type. The upper layer of Interconnection gateway architecture contains industry-specific interface types. These interfaces support trading partner-specific modules that are configurable to specific trading partner interfaces, protocols and joint interconnection agreements (JIA).

Interconnection gateway offers high availability and a fault-tolerant configuration for mission-critical OSS environments.
